SPORTSMAN'S INN
This
charming 300 year old Grade II Listed building is
situated at the head of beautiful Dentdale in the
Yorkshire Dales National park and within easy reach
of the Lake District.
|
The
Sportsman's has been providing accommodation
for the weary traveller since 1675 and for the
Dalesway walker since the walk was devised.
We
are situated on the Dalesway and the Sportsman's
sign is a welcome sight as you round the corner
just below Stonehouse bridge.
Baggage
transfer and packed lunches can be provided,
and vegetarian breakfast alternatives are no
problem (let us know the night before).
Advice
for walkers. (don't forget to put your
boots on)
The walk to Cowgill from either Buckden or Hubberholme
is one of the most demanding parts of the Dalesway
walk. Refreshment cannot be relied on at Cam
houses so it is advisable to take a packed lunch
and liquid refreshment with you. |
